A world filled with boundless potential
Kids from Jamhuri United brought a fresh burst of energy to this year’s Plantapalooza, and you could feel their impact the moment they arrived.
What stood out most was how easily they turned a simple volunteer task into a community moment. They asked questions, shared tools, and encouraged one another as they planted native species that will support local birds and wildlife.
Staff noted that the kids helped bridge the gap between generations. Their presence pulled adults into conversations about cultures, conservation, traditions, and how small efforts can shape a healthier environment.
Witnessing them at work made one thing clear: Jamhuri United’s young volunteers are not just learning about stewardship, they are inspiring it across the community.

Stronger Together: Jamhuri United x ASFAP for Youth Development
United Through the Game
Jamhuri United is proud to team up with the African Sports Federation and Academic Program (ASFAP) to bring youth from diverse communities together through soccer. This partnership isn’t just about playing the game—it’s about building bonds, developing leaders, and creating a positive, inclusive environment where young people can grow on and off the field.
About ASFAP
ASFAP (African Sports Federation and Academic Program) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering African immigrant and refugee youth through sports, education, and mentorship. By combining athletic programs with academic support, ASFAP helps young people reach their full potential while staying grounded in their identity and community.
Jamhuri United x AYDEPI: Coming Together for a Cleaner Federal Way
On 29th of March and 26th of April, Jamhuri United partnered with our friends at AYDEPI (African Youth Development and Empowerment Program Initiative) for a powerful community clean-up day in Federal Way. This wasn’t just about picking up trash—it was about picking up pride, purpose, and connection.
Kids from both organizations came together, gloves on and hearts full, to care for the very streets they play and walk on. They weren’t just cleaning—they were claiming ownership of their environment and learning that their actions matter.
“When we take care of our community, we take care of each other,” said one of our young volunteers proudly.
For many of our youth, this was their first time participating in a civic event. By stepping up and giving back, they’re not just learning to be great athletes—they’re becoming confident, responsible citizens.
At Jamhuri United, our mission goes beyond the soccer field. We believe every child deserves a chance to feel valued, connected, and empowered to make a difference.
To our supporters—thank you. Your donations fuel moments like these. Together, we’re not just raising players. We’re raising leaders.

of nurturing teamwork, dedication, and healthy living. We sincerely appreciate the trust and generosity shown by Ballard FC Foundation.
We look forward to building a lasting partnership with you and hope to collaborate on more initiatives that benefit the youth in our community.

Goals Day with the Federal Way Police Department
At Jamhuri United, we believe in making a positive impact that extends far beyond the soccer field. Through collaborative efforts with our local police department, we’ve created meaningful opportunities for guidance and mentorship for the young members of our community.
By facilitating open dialogues and fostering trust between law enforcement and our kids, we’re not just building better soccer players – we’re nurturing responsible, empowered citizens.

Our Annual Picnic
Our annual picnic was a success. We celebrate an year of family, sports and community.
Thank you to the Jamhuri United family and all our supporters for showing up and celebrating our kids.
We also had a special visitor, Kenny Mansally himself. A professional soccer player who has played for his country Gambia and clubs like New England Revolution and Salt Lake City. We were truly honored.
Additionally, our annual summer picnic is more than just a gathering – it’s a celebration of unity and friendship. Bringing together the Jamhuri United family and friends over delicious food and exciting games, we create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds that tie us together as a community. Through these initiatives, we’re not only shaping skilled athletes but also cultivating compassionate leaders who will positively influence the world around them.
